1: Project member 60005131 tests descent from Elijah (1772), son of Elgate (1736), son of Moses (1689), son of Dennis (1660, Ireland). This member and three non participating matches test descent from Elgate through three of Elgate's sons.
This member and his patriline matches fall under R-CTS3386.
2: Project member 23185374 tests descent from John (1814), son of Elijah (1778), son of Timothy (1749), son of Dennis (1725), son of Dennis (1660, Ireland). A non-participating match to this project member tests descent from Henry Thomas (1789, Breckenridge Co KY), son of David (1844), son of Andrew (1820, Mercer Co), son of Elijah (1778).
This member and his patriline matches fall under R-DF27 > CTS422.
These two haplogroups are not genetic matches.
Genetic Cheat Sheet
The DNA results below will be labeled [1] or [2] depending on where their genetics lie, in accordance with the two groups labeled above.

A descendant of Isaac submitted a yDNA sample believed to be consistent with [1] to the now defunct Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation. The Driscoll project does not have those results or further info.

Resolution
For haplogroup [1], we only have descendants of Moses (1689) known to have tested, through three different sons of Moses.
For haplogroup [2], we only have descendants of Dennis (1698) known to have tested, through only one of his sons Timothy.
The best yDNA donors to help further resolve the conflict would be:
• Patriline descendants of brothers of Moses (1689) and Dennis (1698).
• Patriline descendants of any other sons of Dennis (1698). If that is not possible, patriline descendants of brothers of Timothy (1749).
There is no assurance the ideal patriline donors exist.
For both haplogroups, we need resolution back in Ireland within the last 400 years (from the early 17th century). Both haplogroups are currently Driscoll outliers.
