John O'Driscoll of Knight's Town, Valencia Island, County Kerry, was a merchant, landed proprietor and a J.P. The project has not been able to find him in the U Galway Landed Estates database or in Farranreagh, the encompassing townland, in Griffith's Valuation. He is listed in the 1876 publication of Landowners of Ireland. The project is trying to establish the origins of this Driscoll lineage.

Son Alexander was also a merchant and J.P. He was instrumental in bringing in Dr. Alexander O'Driscoll to Caherciveen as the district medical doctor. See: Timothy O'Driscoll of Oldcourt.
