THE LATE MR. P. O'DRISCOLLSkerries, by whose death Dublin has lost one of the most prominent Nationalists and who the business community one of its leading figures. A native of Clogheen, Blarney road, County Cork, Mr. O'Driscoll went to Australia in early life and spent twenty five years beneath the Southern Cross, where he was an active figure in all the great public movements of his time, and was always an ardent and indefatigable supporter of the Irish cause. He was hon. treasurer of the Irish National Federation of South Australia, and when returning to ireland fourteen years ago, the members presented him with a large oil painting of himself, as a token of esteem and gratitude for the signal services he had rendered the National cause. He was brother of Rev. J. J. O'Driscoll, Sydney, Denis O'Driscoll and M. J. O'Driscoll, Blarney road. His remains were interred in Glasnerin. [Cork Examiner, 29 May 1916]
